Installation and maintenance instructions:

Never start the engine before you have fully charged your new battery to avoid irreversible damage that will ultimately shorten the battery's lifespan. Vehicle electronics, such as alarm systems, immobilizers, clocks, etc., additionally discharge a built-in battery. Connect the battery to a suitable trickle charger (see accessories) if the vehicle is not used for more than 1-2 weeks to maintain the optimum charge level. Storing the battery in a frost-free location during the winter can also help to improve its lifespan.
