The MCS Advance Series AGM battery (formerly known as the SVR brand) is synonymous with a great battery. These high-end Motorcycle Storehouse AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) 'Advance' batteries are of excellent quality, sealed and maintenance free (just keep them charged). They offer low internal resistance, lower heat generation and a high starting capacity that is significantly better than compatible hydrofluoric acid batteries. AGM batteries are charged during production, but must be recharged before installation.

• Note before installation: Never start the engine before you have fully charged your new battery to avoid irreversible damage that will ultimately shorten the life of the battery. It is essential to fully charge every new AGM battery before installation. After production, AGM batteries are activated at the factory and discharge slowly during storage. Recharge them at least every 3 months. Earlier charging may be necessary in warmer or cooler temperatures. Vehicle electronics, such as a clock, alarm clock, etc., additionally discharge an installed battery. AGM batteries do not tolerate deep discharging well. Keep them charged to at least 12.4 V to achieve the best performance over their entire service life. Connect the battery to a suitable automatic "trickle charger" if it will not be used for a long period of time to maintain the optimum state of charge.
