Harley-Davidson lighters of the cult brand Zippo have been produced unchanged in Bradford, Pennsylvania, since 1933. However, the Zippo has its roots in the middle of Europe, because inventor George Grand Blaisdell took the Austrian brand Hurricane as a model and improved the design to the now world-famous version of the Zippo gasoline lighter.
- Many models have become coveted collector's items over the years and problems with spare parts supply are an unknown concept at Zippo.
- Of course, Zippo offers a lifetime warranty since the first lighter sold, but for legal reasons in Germany, this must be reduced to officially only 30 years.
- Robust housing
- Ignites in wind and weather
